Ride'm in the evening, ride'm in the morning, ride'm at supper time - to steal the words of an old song.

You "friend" has an interesting, all be it in my mind, a totally invalid opinion.

In travelling the world - I visit countries where cars are considered to be a rude form of transportation because of the space and energy consumption and cost that they represent.

Is your friend correct from a North American perspective? Not in my opinion or experience.

Riding is fun. It is environmentally sound. And I suspect that the joy of riding is likely good for a person's health.

The first year I went to Sturgis - and there were 11 of us - the group included a School Superintendent, a College Dean, the Operator of a Day Care and a Chemical Plant Supervisor. No one even considered suggesting we were inappropriate.

I think your friend needs to make sure that the brain is engaged befroe releasing the clutch on the tongue.

Keep the rubber side down
